Head of People

Takt is growing quickly, and we're seeking a Head of People with a track record of building successful organizations. We’ve grown to over 50 employees in our first year and expect to more than double in the next year. We are looking for a skilled leader that can advise and lead the team through high growth.

As our Head of People, you will not only envision how we create an environment that supports and develops our team, but will also set the strategic roadmap as to how those plans will manifest and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and build programs from the ground up.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of our Human Resources department and establish organizational design to support business strategy and allow our team to grow in their careers
  • Define and sustain company culture and core values
  • Create meaningful employee programs to promote learning and development across all functions
  • Build and maintain employee onboarding and performance evaluation processes that are set to scale as the company experiences rapid growth
  • Implement metrics, engagement surveys, dashboard and reporting systems
  • Partner with internal recruiting team to identify and attract top talent across all departments
  • Advise and set standard for compensation, organizational structure, retention planning, immigration, training and development and HR policies

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8-10+ years of relevant Human Resources experience, SPHR or PHR preferred
  • Prior experience in Human Resources leadership at a technology company
  • Experience creating and administering full employee lifecycle programs from hire to separation; including but not limited to performance management, learning and development, leaves of absence, and immigration
  • Exceptional communication skills as it relates to building relationships, handling delicate conversations and presenting to Senior/Executive Leadership
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and international labor laws
  • Experience in a high growth early stage technology startup environment, preferably with companies with less than 100 employees
  • Proficiency with HR tools and analytics
  • Ability to work and attend all on-site meetings in our San Francisco Headquarters
