Payroll Administrator (Part Time)

Takt’s Finance Department is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Administrator to join our team. Our platform learns and adapts to people's preferences, habits, and feedback—orchestrating highly relevant experiences that are truly unique to each person. As the Payroll Administrator you will be tasked with completing payroll functions on an accurate and timely basis, which includes (but is not limited to) the preparation, coordination, and processing of a multi-state, semi-monthly payroll, and monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payroll for 1 US entity -- representing approximately 100+ employees.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timesheets earnings, benefits, deductions and tax calculation accuracy while processing payroll with quality customer service
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Maintain payroll records, ensure accurate financial statements, assist with payroll, retirement plan, and workers’ compensation audits
  • Prepare regular reporting, analyze variance analysis, and implement improvements to increase efficiency
  • Obtain and maintain payroll certification, increase knowledge of ADP software and tools
  • Coordinate with Finance, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data

Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred
  • Experience with ADP required (Workforce Now preferred)
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
  • 2+ years experience with all payroll functions
  • Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets required
